As you look out into the world, you see all kinds of greed and hatred. You see people being untruthful to each other and hating one another. Have you ever wondered why? God tells us in Genesis in the fourth chapter with the story of Cain and Abel when he initiated tithing. Being a good God, He wanted everyone to know that when He created the universe that He placed order in it with a chain of command. He is God and has authority over all things, over the rain, sun, wind, all the earth, and all the heavens. He is owed worship and praise and respect from all who breathe His air and all who live because He created life and all mankind. When we look at the story of Cain and Abel, when God wanted them to share their wealth with Him, Abel recognized that he owed God his existence and his independence. He owed his good life, his health, everything including the sunshine on his face, and the fresh air he breathed. He became anxious to give God his best lamb, his pet, because he loved God so much for giving him such a good life. Then we look at Cain who thought I work from sun up to sun down in the hot sun with blisters all over my body from the sun, and now God wants me to given him part of my wealth! We see that Cain thought that God owed him because it was God who put him here. God owed him fresh air, health, rain, and sunshine, because he did not ask to be born. Everyone knows that Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of Abel because God accepted his gift. Please notice, although Cain had taken Abel out into a field with no one around, God knew what happened to him. Notice Revelation 20:12, “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened.” Notice that it said books and not book. At the foundation of the world, God wrote everyone’s name in the book of life and then when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, our name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. Unless your name is written in the Lamb’s book, you will be judged on your deeds! The Bible says no one is righteous, no not one, Romans 3:10. But when our name is entered in the Lamb’s book we are saved by the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. Just think every man, woman, and child ever born in the world, every name, was written in the book of life when the world was created. It has never been easy for anyone who follows the real God of Heaven and earth. It seems like the more that God gives us, the harder it is. Think of Mary, a young woman that was engaged to married Joseph. A virgin that became pregnant with the Son of God. You know she was deserted, treated with ridicule, and taunted with unkind jeers because Israel was a religious nation. God was showing us that we cannot serve God and man at the same time. He will always make us choose between Him and the world. For instance, my dominant gift of the Holy Spirit is the gift of knowledge, knowing something supernaturally. I was born in May 1944 and I had a memory of hearing the sound of airplanes over my home and me running to turn off the lights and pulling the window shades thinking if they see a light they would bomb my house. Then, when I was in the second grade, or about 8 years old, I found out that World War II ended Sept 2, 1945. I would have been 15 months old at the time and I knew I could not have such a memory. Many years later I realized that I was in my mother’s womb, and because of my love for my mother and being innocent that the Holy Spirit had allowed me to have a memory that was my mothers. When she was carrying me, she had received the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Do you know why they call it evident? Because on the day of Pentecost there was an utterance in tongues, bearing witness that the tongue had been sanctified and empowered by God for His use. Speaking in tongues is not necessary for the salvation of God’s people.
Some might ask, how do I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? You have to be born again. You have to ask forgiveness for all your sins and trespasses against God and man, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Then, just ask. Then, surrender. Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good and pleasing and perfect will.” Then we must be willing to obey the Holy Spirit of God. Apostle Paul reminded the Galatians, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing of faith?” Then he answered, by faith because you believed, you asked, and were willing to obey. Having believed, you exercised your tongue, or you acted, meaning you spoke the words the Spirit gave you. Now why would anyone want the Holy Spirit? As I write this note Coronavirus 19 disease is ravaging the world. Some people are looking for someone to blame it on. But the first thing Jesus would have us do is forgive anyone and everyone, because when we do God’s protection is upon us. The word coronavirus means it is from a family of RNA viruses having a lipid envelope studded of animals and humans. After we have given our forgiveness, God would have us read Psalm 91, “He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Then v6, “nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday, a thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.” Fact: we are all appointed once to die, then we will be transported to heaven to a great wedding where we will receive our victory crowns. I cannot wait to meet Apostle Paul, Apostle Peter, Elijah, Daniel, and most of all feel the nail prints in our Lord’s hands from showing us how much He loves us.
Now a mystery revealed. We can learn so much from knowing why God’s prophets were all so hated and despised and treated with contempt. When I was born my dad told me that I was the ugliest baby that he had ever seen and that I was bald headed. My mother said I was the most handsome baby boy with a full head of hair which was pure white. My Dad would whip me with his belt for asking questions when I was just a toddler. Yet, my mother would smile at me and tell me how smart I was. Both loved their son but showed it in different ways. My dad was trying to practice the law while my mother was demonstrating the love of Jesus. My dad believed he was saved because he tried to be a good person. My mother was relying on the blood of Jesus. About 10 years before my dad was appointed to die, he lost his eyesight, then he had a stroke. All his life he had enjoyed good health without even a headache or a toothache. After seeking the Holy Spirit about him I was told that no one can get into heaven without the blood of the Lamb and my dad had attended a church that believed they were the bride of Christ. He thought he was going to heaven because he attended the right church building. So, the Holy Spirit had to break him and make him realize the church is a spiritual body that Jesus Christ had bought and paid for. His church is not a physical building like the temple in Jerusalem, but a Holy body because of the blood of Jesus Christ. We can learn a lot by the Passover of Israel. It was a rehearsal of what God was going to do thousands of years later with the real Lamb of God. We have all heard the phrase don’t kill the messenger. The messenger being God’s Prophets. In the book of Exodus, Moses spent 40 years thinking he was a somebody, another 40 years finding he was a nobody, and then 40 years discovering what God can do with a nobody. When you are a baby and your dad is whipping you with a belt you don’t understand because he is your pharaoh or your God, you become afraid of your dad, but you still love him because your mother tells you he loves you and that he is just trying to teach you right from wrong. But what she taught me is that God is in charge. With a chain of command, He placed fathers over sons, and we are to pray for those over us. Before my dad died, we were best friends and I loved and respected him as a father and a good man. I was grateful to call him my Dad.
Like always, history will always repeat history. So, let us look at history. The same thing happened in the book of Exodus. The children of Israel were in slavery and they cried out to God. Then God sent his Prophets to warn pharaoh to let his children go! And when he disobeyed, God sent 10 plagues on Egypt. God again sent his Prophet to warn his enemies and again he sent a plague on his enemies! Now, I would like you to remember Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus who later hung himself because he was so ashamed for betraying an innocent man who was good to everyone he came across. Now why was he so ashamed of himself? Because he always knew that Jesus was the Christ, the Messiah, but he was trying to use him to overthrow the Romans. He was trying to manipulate Jesus into the overthrowing of the Romans, but Jesus’ mission was too important to be diverted. After Jesus’ death, he realized how selfish he had been. Now do you remember Matthew 2:13? After Jesus was born an Angel appeared to Joseph and told him to take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt for Herod is going to kill the child.
Now, please let me try to explain what our loving God is trying to teach us from this Covid 19. For years I have been writing about how the democrats, our news media, and higher education want to do away with the American Constitution, how the drug cartels have been funneling money into the democratic party so they would run interference for their drugs, and illegal immigration to no avail. Our Lord always likes to teach with stories, so he thought maybe you might like to know what it would be like without the constitution! For instance, Covid 19 was not meant to act on humans, but on our livestock to pressure our food supply to China. Notice how our politicians reacted. Some wanted to take away our seeds so we could not plant a garden, others wanted to arrest us for meeting for church services, others wanted to stop people from riding a motorcycle, others wanted to stop you from riding a bicycle, others wanted to ticket us for wearing a mask over our mouth because it was taking a mask from a medical worker, others wanted everyone to wear a mask in public, some wanted to wait for October to open the economy up, some want July to open the economy up, some want to eat ice cream, some mayor’s want to open their city treasury to give cash to illegal aliens whom she thought was trying to get money from her bankrupt state earlier.
Let me sum up as to why my dad thought I was such an ugly baby. God looks at the heart, and man looks at the physical body. I was a skinny little baby. I was small while my older brother was big for his age. I’m reminded of the story in 1 Samuel 8 when Israel wanted a King. In 1 Samuel, men chose Saul. In 2 Samuel, God chose David. Saul was an impressive young man without equal, a head taller than any of the others. In the book of 1 Samuel we find the failure of Saul, man’s choice. In 2 Samuel, it describes the enthronement of God’s king David, and the establishment of the house of David through which the Messiah Jesus Christ would come. Please let me close this note by saying God loves all mankind, and only wants the best for all, and for all to accept the gift of the Son of God. You see, the world cannot accept Jesus Christ because of their pride just like the democratic party and news media cannot accept Donald Trump as President because he is not one of the elites like themselves. They are offended that he does not take any money like themselves. He has a nice family, a beautiful wife, and mostly what cooks them, he is not a politician like the Obama administration that spent $3.7 million to Wuhan, the same lab that the virus came from in China. He is like Abel and they are like Cain. This covid 19 is to show the world that God is all powerful and there is nothing impossible for Him. Just like the children of Israel prayed and God sent 10 plagues on Egypt. The democrats and news media tried to impeach President Trump, but God’s children prayed and God sent covid 19 on the world to show He is a jealous God. This is to show man, they might think they are elite, but God loves His church and is not impressed. You think your so wise, but He will always show His power when His people humble themselves. What the elite does not know is our constitution is holding the anti-Christ back because Revelation 13:17 talks about the mark of the Beast. Everyone, rich and poor, will have to take a number on their right hand or forehead, or they will not be able to buy, sell, or trade without it. As long as the church is on earth, the prayer of the saints will prevail against the anti-Christ and his cohorts.
Please let me add, the Holy Spirit told me, “He knew me before I was conceived in my mother’s womb.” In other words, I did not do anything to become Gods’ prophet, I was appointed by our Lord Jesus Christ because of his mercy and grace. I did nothing of my own, I was a gift to Jesus’ church and because of that I have been constantly treated rudely by my fellow ministers but embraced by God’s church. Later, I found that I was able to endure the insults, indignities, and contempt because of my dad. He had prepared me for my ministry like Romans 8:28 says, “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
